How To Remove Dents From Cars / Fix Small Dent In Cars?

To know how to fix dents and scratches on your car first, you should know four types of dents: how to repair dents and scratches on your vehicle.

  • Small dents in the car - like plastic and metal

  • Significant dent in the car - like plastic and metal

How To Fix A Small Dent In A Car?

  • Fixing minor dents in plastic:

Minor dents are easy to fix. Take a gun/blow dryer and heat the affected area, and once it gets heated, push the dent from inside and flips it out. Now spray ultra cool air in the area.

Dent will easily pop out, or a suction dent puller can be easily used. This is the simplest and best car dent remover technique in plastic dents.

  • Fixing minor dents in metal:

To remove dents from the car, clean the affected area with a  microfiber towel to ensure no paint damage or any particle that may cause a bad seal. Apply glue with a glue gun stick to the deepest point of the dent. Attach the bridge puller head to the glue and leave it for 4-8 minutes.

Once the glue is dry, attach the bridge puller’s head and turn the dial to pull out the dent. Remove the bridge puller and its head after the dent is removed and get rid of the glue by using heat. This will help you fix a small dent in the car quickly.

How To Fix A Significant Dent In A Car?

  • Fixing large dents in plastic:

Heat the affected area with dent a gun/blow dryer, attach a suction dent puller, and pull the dent. You might need to heat the surface again for good dent towing.

Take care of the minor dents that will appear in this process.

  • Fixing large dents in metal

If the dent is small, heat it with a gun/blow dryer and attach the suction dent puller.

If the dent is significant, then the procedure is a bit lengthy.  Heat the dent with a gun/blow dryer and push it out with a suction dent puller. Once the dent size is reduced, clear the area with a microfiber towel. Heat the glue and apply it to the dent.

Repeat the same procedure as done in fixing minor dents in metal. Let the glue dry and attach the bridge puller’s head and turn the dial to pull out the dent.

Once the dent is gone, remove the dent puller and the glue by heating it. This process will also guide you in ‘how to remove sharp dents from a car’.

  • Giving the perfect paint touch up to your car

Once the dent is removed, touch up the area with a new stroke of paint. Keep your hand as steady as possible, and apply the required amount of primer or paint. Let the paint dry, and then wash the car and polish it.

  • Seeking professional help

Try removing the dent on your own by following the above methods, but if you face issues or the damage is too much to be repaired by you, don’t hesitate in seeking professional help. Car dent removal cost may vary depending on the damage done to your car. Professionals may also help you with tricky parts like car door dent repair.
